Left Long Beach on the 3rd, very late again,
GRRRRR! Didn’t arrive in Las Vegas until after 7 pm. Stayed at the Circus
Circus campground, like we did last year when we left for Alaska. Nothing special about the campground, other
than its convenience. It was 102 degrees when we arrived. Thank goodness for
air conditioning in the trailer!
Left Las Vegas early on the 4th and headed down
I-15 towards Provo, Utah. It was a bit cooler this morning – only in the low
90s. Temps stayed in the 100s all the way to Provo. We pretty much just
deadheaded down the road, not stopping for any sightseeing.
Got to the campground in Provo late – it was too long a day driving –
so we decided to spent two nights and take a rest day. Spent the evening
listening to all the fireworks going on around us – people here are really into
their fireworks! The park next door to the campground even has fireworks trashcans.
